Eddie was one of the first people I met when I moved to SoCal, last August. He was the quiet, kind usher at my church. He was the good man, with a strong prayer life. He was the loyal friend and dependable member. And I wasn't interested.
Apperantley he wasn't either.
My life changed dramaticly, over the short months. Quickly, often and with hard up and down tides. God was remaking me with such quick precision. My life seemed a blur. But my path seemed clear. Each step that was filled with doubt, was then filled with an answer. I submited to God and His purpose for me here. I began to take root and let myself grow and change.
All the while Eddie lived and prayed and worked and strengthened. Quietly.
We had began to also submit to our singleness and both individually, finally gave our romantic-hearts to God 100%. Trusting Him full-well with His best intentions for us. We didn't give-up ... we gave-way, gave-in to God. We became content and let God be the lover of our souls. Little did we know this is God's perfect set-up.

One God-planned evening ... a Tuesday night, there was a a smiling usher. Who opened a door for an always late girl, wearing a blue dress. When the door swung open, so did the heavens... ahh ah ahhhhh! Moonbeams, rainbows and candycanes.... starshine, hearts and charibs floated. 29-years of church experience melted to the floor. What's a girl to do? Does she sit, walk or run down the aisle? Does she go back to her car? Mind and heart a-flutter... she sat. In the ushers chairs... and that's where he joined her. The rest as they say is history.... or rather our story, and as it goes...

There was a hike ... where the quiet-usher ask the girl if he could court her. There was a trip and the girl went away for a few days. When she returned there was a friend's birthday party and a green dress, where the usher an hour before with yellow-tulips asked her to be his girlfriend. Then there was tacos, after a long day of grocery shopping, Pip walking, errand running, and the usher said: Doing this. Or anything else. No matter what it is, I want to be with you. And then there was a ring. Shaped like a heart. There was tears of joy and a big yes from the girl.

Not too fancy... not too movie-romantic. But perfect, hand written by God. And that's all we need to begin our lives together as one. The quiet-usher and the girl ... whose not-so-late anymore.
We are planning a FUN and happy Fiesta atmosphere to enjoy with and honor our guests! Not so formal and fancy-pants, with room for the kiddos, some pinatas, and good ol' fashioned Mexican-culture wedding fun!
We changed our minds... we looked ahead in time and saw a Missionary Trip we'd like to be a part of. SO, like everything else... less is MORE. Off to Vegas we gooooo!
We are so grateful to God. He thinks so much of us as His children. We consider how every trial and every lesson and every triumph He gave us, made Eddie and I fit perfectly. It would to the naked-eye, the unassuming eye to think perhaps we're ill-fitted. But God the maker of the earth and sky, the former of our very beings pain-stakedly created our paths, each of our breathes He approved and each of our hairs He has numbered. So those around us, close and even those not so close see what we see. Two peas in a pod, a well-working help-meet team, two goofs, two laughing, silly, crazy friends, partners, one. Some days we think we may even live in our own Eddie-Angelique bubble. (Plus Pip!) And so, we are so happy, delighted to share our special day with you when we're united in the sight of God as one. Man and Wife.
